At present, the utilization of powdered chromite ore mainly relies on methods such as sintering and pelletizing/briquetting, to block the powder ore and use it for submerged arc furnaces or vertical furnaces. At home and abroad, the treatment of fine ore generally adopts pelletizing and briquetting, using a simple pelletizing/briquetting process, which means that the fine ore is not finely ground and is directly pelletized/briquetted using a dedicated pelletizing machine or a briquetting machine/briquette machine. The pelletizing/briquetting process has low investment and cost.

After sieving the powdered chromite ore, a qualified particle size of chromite ore is mixed with a binder, and then an appropriate amount of water is added and stirred in the mixer. The mixed material is sent to the briquette machine to press the briquettes. After drying, the finished briquette can be put into the furnace for smelting. The basic process flow is: storage--- screening--- crushing--- mixing--- briquetting--- drying.
